National Critical Issues Survey

Instructions:

Thank you for your participation in our survey program. Below you will find a series of questions designed to help you share your opinion on a variety of topics and which issues you as a voter feel most strongly about.

Please select the answer that best reflections your opinions and believes in response to the questions listed below.

1. Federal spending has spiked dramatically under Barack Obama. The federal government is facing $17 trillion in debt, with unfunded liabilities as high as $86.8 trillion.

Do you believe that we need to dramatically cut spending across the board to balance the budget?
2. Since 1964, the federal government has spent nearly $20 trillion on hundreds of different welfare programs, many of them repetitive and most of them doing nothing to reduce our 15.1% official poverty rate.

Do you believe duplicate federal programs should be eliminated, and federal functions such as Medicaid and food stamps should be transferred back to the states?
3. In 2012, the federal government issued $23.5 billion worth of new regulations on the economy, burdening producers and taking choices away from consumers.

Do you believe that Congress should block Washington bureaucrats from unilaterally issuing regulations that significantly affect the economy?
4. ObamaCare has led to skyrocketing health insurance premiums across the country, thousands of small businesses cutting hours and health benefits, and is currently projected to cost $1.8 trillion over the next 10 years.

Do you believe that ObamaCare should be repealed?
5. Currently the federal Department of Education spends over $70 billion a year, taking power away from your local school boards, yet reading and math scores and high-school graduation rates remain virtually unchanged.

Do you believe that the federal Department of Education should be abolished, with the power returned to the States and local school boards?
6. Social Security’s disability insurance trust fund is expected to be operating in the red by 2016.

Do you believe Congress should make structural reforms to save Social Security, such as gradually raising the retirement age for people now 55 or younger and letting people choose to invest their hard-earned money in personal savings accounts?
7. Medicare’s hospital insurance trust fund will be in the red by 2026, and that’s assuming the false promises of ObamaCare saving money all come true, meaning the money is virtually certain to dry up much sooner.

Do you believe we should grant seniors access to the same health-insurance program currently enjoyed by Members of Congress?
8. The federal government has been unwilling to expand America’s domestic energy production and transportation, despite the bright potential of our vast oil reserves to create jobs, reduce gas prices, and strengthen our energy independence.

Do you believe we should approve the Keystone XL pipeline, open the outer continental shelf to oil drilling, and increase the number of permits for drilling on public lands?
